In the hot-stamping technique also called hot-print or thermal printing, the key role is played by heat and the so-called hot-stamping foil, in other words a foil for pressing at a high temperature. In the hot-stamping process it is indispensable to use convex dies, which are made of heat-conducting material. Using a specially prepared die, under the influence of pressure and high temperature, the film is permanently vulcanised with the surface.

Hot stamping gives very interesting effects in combination with stamping, or used on non-standard, precious papers, cutting printed elements. Foiling can also be used on the edges, for example, for shimmering, metallic, gold or silver edges. The print is characterized by high resistance to abrasion, which guarantees clear and expressive prints.
